Joint Finance Cmte Public Hearing on State Budget- JOIN THE CARAVAN!

  • JFC Public Hearing on Budget -- River Falls

JOIN THE CARAVAN! Locally, the Eau Claire Dems are planning to have a carpool caravan head to River Falls to voice support for the UWEC Science Building project that was not supported by Republicans on the Budget committee.

  • This project is important as a economic development tool, for investment in western WI as well as the state, in addition to demonstrating a public-private partnership to enhance research in this state.

  • Other topics to address:  Expanding Badger Care, rural broadband internet, water quality and water safety, transportation.

  • Consider attending to support and if willing, write and read a two minute statement.  It helps to have copies of your statement to share with the committee members.

  • JFC Member Webpage:

  • Call the office or email: if you’d like to join the caravan!

    10:00 AM - 5:00 PM

    • University of Wisconsin-River Falls, University Center Riverview Ballroom #260 (500 Wild Rose Avenue River Falls, WI)

Citizen Action is mobilizing people to attend or help others to attend JFC listening sessions and to make their voices heard:
     1. Please copy and paste this link, anywhere you can as people can pledge via that link to attend any of those hearings, sign up for a t-shirt, send a letter to their state legislator and/or help sign up to be part of a phone tree getting the word out. Do they need a ride? Want talking points? Meet up with other supporters? They can let us know via that link!
     2. THEN! After you sign it, or anyone else does, they will be forwarded to this link: which is a walk-through of a powerful Facebook promotion trick anyone who has a Facebook account can use to urge people to pledge to attend too! Every little bit of support matters, and everyone can become a temporary organizer in 10-15 minutes for this effort!
     3. LASTLY! If you would like any of the below, please REPLY to this email and I will call you at first opportunity!

  • Start a phone tree of people in your town/area

  • Help "text-bank" from home to get the word out

  • Help walk others through that Facebook promotion trick so more people are doing it

  • Anything else!

This is a barn-raising folks, we're in it to win it and we're all in it together!! Let's expand BadgerCare for 80,000+ working Wisconsinites and build up to a fight for everyone!
