Important Dates:

  • October 18th - 24th: Training Week of Action

  • October 20th - 27th: Recruitment Week of Action (this week will focus on mass recruitment pushes across the region for One Year to Win, start planning your recruitment phonebanks now!)

  • November 2nd and 3rd: One Year to Win Weekend of Action!

    Hello Everyone!

We are just a few weeks away  from our One Year to Win Weekend of Action, the biggest action weekend of 2019! Now that it is October, this is a great time to schedule your volunteer recruitment phone banks & get on everyone’s calendars early.

Additionally, we just found out that the far-right group Americans For Prosperity has already begun knocking doors across Wisconsin, including in Patty Schachtner's Senate District (SD-10). This really highlights the importance of what we are doing this year and shows why we are building our volunteer capacity and talking to voters now. We have no time to waste in our build up to 2020. We have to start engaging our volunteers and voters now!

That being said, our One Year to Win Weekend of Action is a crucial opportunity to get out on the doors & talk to voters about why Democrats care about them. We know we need thousands of volunteers for 2020, so we are hoping to use this Weekend of Action to recruit new canvassers & get them comfortable on the doors. We need everyone’s help! Please reach out to anyone & everyone who wants to keep Wisconsin blue in 2020. Here is the online sign up link.

Please don’t hesitate to let me know what you need. If you haven’t scheduled a canvass yet, don’t worry! We still have a bit of time. Please reach out to me & I would be happy to work with you to get a canvass on the calendar.

The current canvasses planned in my region are listed below, along with a sign-up link to each event. Feel free to share these on your County Party websites, newsletters, calendars, etc., and please make sure to sign-up for a shift while you're at it! We are trying to achieve huge things in the State of Wisconsin this year and next, and we will need all hands on deck to be successful!

*A note on the canvasses, not all are associated with a staging location yet, but details on location and official start time will be finalized soon!*

New Regions in the North!

As many of you know, DPW recently hired Austyn Zarda to serve as the new Regional Organizing Director for North Central Wisconsin! This means that my previous region is now split into two, with Austyn working in the North Central counties, and me moving forward with just the Northwest counties. To avoid confusion, I am including the counties below that Austyn and I will be working with moving forward. If I no longer will be working with your county, please know that it was an absolute pleasure to organize in your area, and I cannot wait to see what the North accomplishes with two organizers now!

Alex Pond’s Counties: Clark, Eau Claire, Chippewa, Barron, Washburn, Douglas, Burnett, Polk, St. Croix. Pierce & Dunn

Austyn's Counties: Portage, Wood, Marathon, Taylor, Rusk, Sawyer, Bayfield, Ashland, Iron, Price, Vilas, Oneida, Lincoln, Florence, Forest & Langlade Thank you for your continued involvement. We look forward to continuing the work together!

Tell Your Chippewa County Friends: Opportunity Awaits!

If you have progressive friends in Chippewa Falls, Hallie, Lafayette, Bloomer or elsewhere, please urge them to get active and join their county party. With a special election looming in the 7th Congressional District, it's the best way to play a direct local role in replacing Sean Duffy. Contact county party chair Pat Kreitlow (715-379-4576) to learn more.
